Upon first reading, I feel like there is much more I can draw from this article. You give a thoughtful examination of the power that story has had throughout the ages and its particular affects in the current era. This is one I’ll have to return to since, as a writer, story is the backbone of what I do and frames how I think.
I appreciate you prompting us to turn the mirror on ourselves and pay attention to the position we take in our own stories and those we tell others. It’s something I know I need to be more careful about!
Great thoughtful article. While it can be tempting to follow the online hero with all the answers (sidekicks are almost heroes themselves!) I find it’s much safer to trust those who examine and explain depravity by searching their own heart.
But also - the third way middle of the road path is the right one, isn’t it?? Right??? 😅

This has connected some dots for me. An excellent cautionary tale (pun intended).
Magnificent - huge thanks for putting this on your blog. All Evangelicals ought to be reading this - if only!
