I’ve been around a while, teaching at the college level, specifically teaching art. The only group on campus more far out than art students are the theater students. I’ve seen a lot. And I can say with confidence, people who make these choices sell themselves short. They set themselves up for a less fulfilling life, if not a life littered with disappointments and alienation. I grieve to see our culture embracing these choices as if they are freeing and enriching. They are not. They are enslaving and debilitating.
Well done sharing God's truth in a plain, logical, and direct way. It hurts my heart to see how far people will stray from God so they can "be themselves" (including myself when I make decisions without Him).
It also boggles my mind how far some will twist Scripture to justify so many of these sins. Itching ears are everywhere. We all need to stay vigilant.
Here's to being bold with The Gospel and Biblical truth!
In addition to the learned behavior comment I will add it can also be a demonic stronghold as it does take on some very young children and grip them as they will say they felt this way since early childhood.
However it does not mean it is what God intended for their lives and you explained this so well.
You also explained and showed clearly, 94% of these children grow out of it.
As my daughter did. She was my middle child but she wasn’t just a Tom Boy, she demanded I call her my “son” through the third grade. Today she is happily married to a wonderful man and they have three children. Imagine the damage we would have caused if we had given her gender reassignment?
It is heartbreaking to see what parents are doing to innocent children as this is an evil trend and certainly not what God intended for anyone’s life.
Indeed, well done, thank you. I've come to and taught the same conclusions "It’s to sell ourselves short, to make for us lives and identities and destinies that are far, far poorer than what God intends."
I'm hopeful that this will help us to take the time needed genuinely and personally (humanly) share what is truly very good news (Gen 1.31) to valued imagine bearers of God rather than using God's word as weapon (walking and talking with people rather than talking, or even shouting at them)
From one who lived next door to a pedophile and later on worked with several gay young men in the federal government, it is a known fact that homosexual behavior is learned. People are not born that way. Ask any, and if they are honest, they will explain what happened to make them deviant.

Very clearly written and soundly reasoned.

Just one more result of being fallen sinful people. Thanks be to God for sending His Son Jesus Christ.
